To locate the serial number of your piano, open the top lid of your vertical piano, or slide out the music rack of your grand piano.

The serial number of a piano typically is stamped on its cast iron plate. In rare cases, a small metal plaque on the back of a vertical piano may show the serial number (f.e. Kimball pianos)
